Amaltheia
Amaltheia
The name Amaltheia, in Ancient Greek Mythology translates as "tender goddess". Like all the nymphs in folklore, she was revered for her beauty, strength, sensuality and passion. With her loving, caring nature, alongside her bravery, she was entrusted with nurturing Zeus, the future King of the Gods.
Jupiter is the Ancient Roman equivalent of Zeus and the planet is named after him. It is the largest planet in the solar system with two and a half times the mass of all the other planets combined. It is orbited by multiple moons of which one of the innermost is Almatheia, named after the fabled Nymph which contributes to the planet’s cosmic ring system. It is the third closest moon to Jupiter.
This sculpted sterling silver ring is adorned with three circulating gold surround rings, each inlayed with coloured sapphires. It is internally embossed with Myanmar script together with heart shapes reflecting enduring love. It is designed to epitomise the beautiful nature of Amaltheia and her everlasting presence; the cyclical nature of life and the protection of those you love and care for.
