Diana
Diana
Daughter of Jupiter, the King of the Gods, Ancient Roman Goddess Diana’s name is derived from the Greek words diviana, dium and dius, meaning “the shining one,” “sky,” and “daylight”. She is also closely associated with the worship of the moon. Depicted as a Goddess of great allure, she is an irresistible huntress revered by mortals and Deities alike.
She carries a bow and arrow and is a force of nature with passion and strength, yet with a pure heart. A cohort of beautiful nymphs attend to her and in her honour a great temple, the Artemisium, was built in her honour by worshippers. It was considered to be one of the seven ancient wonders of the world.
These unique bow-shaped gold earrings are adorned with beautiful coloured tourmaline and embody all the attributes of Diana and her attentive guardian nymphs.
