Euphrosyne
Euphrosyne
In Ancient Greek religion, Euphrosyne was one of the Charites, or the three Graces. According to Greek myth, Euphrosyne and the two other Charites were daughters of Zeus and the Oceanid Euphrosyne. The Greek poet Pindar states that these goddesses were created to fill the world with pleasant moments and good will.
The Graces attended to the Goddess of beauty Aphrodite and her companion Eros and loved dancing around in a circle to Apollo's divine music, together with the Nymphs and the Muses. Euphrosyne is usually depicted with her sisters.
Euphrosyne is a Goddess of Good Cheer, Joy and Mirth, and the incarnation of grace and beauty. The other two Charites are Thalia (Festivity or Blooming) and Aglaea (Beauty or Splendor).
Her half-brother is Hephaistos, or Hephaestus, the god of metalworking and volcanoes. Her name is the female version of a Greek word euphrosynos, which means "merriment”.
This beautiful sterling silver set combination embraces all the charm and seductive allure of the three Graces, combined with the skills of their half-brother Hephaestus, whose craftsmanship was so skilful he could create pieces fit to adorn Goddesses.
Each piece is uniquely designed with coloured cabochon tourmaline in etched silver strings, embracing all the allure and love for life of the three Graces.
