Juno
Juno
In Ancient Roman Mythology, Juno was revered as a mysterious and powerful Goddess. She was associated with beauty, passion and fertility, but also with strength and a fighting warlike spirit.
As an immortal Goddess, historians suggest she offered her breast to the fabled Hercules in order for him to gain immortality. In Ancient Greek and Rome, breast shaped cups called Mastoi, were often used in ceremonies to embrace passion and fertility and long life.
These earrings set in etched silver with a pink tourmaline centrepiece are representative of the attributes and splendour of Juno. She was admired and worshipped across the Mediterranean as the epitome of women’s fortitude, power and sexuality.
