Luna
Luna
In ancient Roman religion and myth, Luna is the divine embodiment of the moon. In Roman art, Luna is depicted as the crescent moon and one of the visible Goddesses to mortals on earth.
She is associated with peace, allure, fascination and beauty. She is deemed the world’s purest source of light. Her mystical power of the movement of the sea tides led to her being worshipped and a temple was built in her honour on the revered Aventine Hill in Rome.
She was referred to as the “Night-Shiner” and widely revered for her benevolent yet powerful nature. This sterling silver textured ring embedded with a viridescent green cabochon peridot epitomises the nature of the Goddess herself.
