Menae
Menae
The Menae were the 50 Greek Goddesses of the lunar months in Mythology. They represented each of the full moons in the four year period between Olympiads. The Greeks followed a lunar cycle to measure time as opposed to a solar cycle. Moon deities were revered in Ancient Greek society as guardians of time, cycles of life and the seasons.
This sterling silver ring with a pink tourmaline centrepiece and spinel surroundings is inspired by the April Pink Moon. The April moon garners its name from the beautiful pink flowers that blossom at the time of its ascendancy. It is an epitomy of the romance evoked by fresh spring flowers, the passion associated with a pink full moon and the allure, strength and power of a Goddess.
