NYX was the Greek Goddess of the night. She is portrayed as a figure of such exceptional power and beauty that she was even feared by Zeus, the King of the Gods. A shadowy figure, Nyx stood at the beginning of creation and mothered the deity siblings Hypnos (sleep) and Thanatos (death) with her consort Erebus (darkness).
