Peitho
Peitho
In Greek mythology, Peitho is the goddess who personifies persuasion and seduction. Her Roman equivalent is Suada or Suadela. She is typically presented as an important companion of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. As a personification, she was sometimes imagined as a goddess and sometimes an abstract force. Peitho represents both sexual and political persuasion.
She has been described as the ‘secret key to holy love’. Extravagant jewellery was viewed in Greek Mythology as a way for women to seduce men embodying sexual attractiveness.
Worshipped for her beauty and sensuous nature these pieces are a reflection of Peitho’s irresistible allure to all who set eyes on her. The sterling silver necklace is adorned with a silver lip shaped pendant embedded with spinel and accompanied with descending moonstone and tourmaline adornments. Ring also available.
